Gifts and Giveaways….

I got a call a couple of weeks ago, from a friend, who's friend had a friend, who's daughter-in-law had passed away last year, and they were wondering if I could use a boat-load of card making and scrappy supplies??  Well, yes.  Yes, I could!  I feel badly that this is the route these supplies came to me, but I feel much worse thinking that when I die, Mr B will sell all my supplies for what I told him I paid!
(Lol, I saw that on Pinterest.  But it fits.)

There was actually quite a bit that I couldn't use, so in sorting through it all, I decided to use what I could RIGHT NOW.  Before it's stashed with all the rest of the stash and forgotten.  The first thing that inspired me was 2 sheets of GORgeous Anna Griffin textured vellum covered in lilac blooms.  I should have taken a picture, but if you've been paper crafting since forever you might remember it.  You've probably hoarded a piece of it yourself.  It's way too pretty to actually use!!

But use it I would!  So I set to fussy cutting.  It's not something I do much of, because it seems like I should be doing something else at the same time.  But we had a road trip to make, so I took it along on the drive and it was SUCH a relaxing way to pass the time!  Now I want to fussy cut everything!!

But I'm talking too much.  How about let's just look at the cards they made up into.  I made it a rule to only use the new old stash I'd been given, or old stash of my own.  But mostly her's.

Check out these rain stones!  Aren't they gorgeous?!  They're not old stash.  And I can see I'll be needing to order more fairly soon!!

This paper??  Was BEADED!!  I kid you not!  The rest that didn't get used may have to be hoarded now.

I'm very grateful that my friend thought of me when all these supplies needed a new home, but I'm even more grateful for the spurt of creating it inspired!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  If you liked something you saw, leave a comment!

  1. I so remember that line of paper, vellum, stickers. I think I have a sticker or two left. Hoarding, to say the least! Lots of fussy cutting there girl; but gorgeous results on those cards. You'll have to get Mr. B to take you on more road-trips. :)
